Review from The Stage from the Stephen Sondheim Performer of the Year Competition

Bouncing around the stage like a finely tuned yoyo, Bristol Old Vic’s Callum McIntyre completely commands the stage with Buddy’s Blues from Follies. He then switches with great ease to the completely contrasting dramatic ballad Scrapbook by Rob Archibald and Verity Quade, quite deservedly taking home the student performer runner-up prize.

Review from The Stage after my Drama School Showcase

Callum McIntyre gives us a lovely piece which he's written himself in which he gradually works himself up to a hilarious fury over an irritant which turns out not to be a man but a seagull. A versatile actor, he is then moving and intense as Dan in Patrick Marber's Closer with Bethan Nash.

5 Star Review from The Sunday Times for New Mutiny's production of Romeo and Juliet

Shakespeare for the OMG generation? Yes, yes a thousand times yes, when it's as good as this. Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's fizzing adaptation of loves young dream is exactly what the One Direction audience- at whom this production is aimed - needs to get their teeth into. Romeo (Callum McIntyre) is the perfect mixture of mush and strut.
